Anders Breivik told English Defence League members to "keep up the good work
ANDERS Breivik told the English Defence League to “keep up the good work” . He secretly praised several EDL members in March, who told him he would be welcome to join them at UK demos. Breivik responded: “I hope so. It’s our common struggle against the islamofascists.” He used a pseudonym in online chats with EDL members, saying: “You’re a blessing to all in Europe.” His messages to the EDL, which also revealed he went to a football match in Bradford, were exposed yesterday. The fresh revelations came after he claimed two more cells are operational. Using the name Sigurd Jorsalfare, a king of Norway who led a crusade, Breivik penned a series of chilling posts on March 9. Security sources said that within days he had shut down his Facebook page and started preparations for killing. Anti-fascist group Searchlight said the revelations would pile pressure on Prime Minister David Cameron. Searchlight’s Nick Lowles said: “It is quite clear that the Home Office needs to classify the EDL as an extremist right-wing organisation.” |
